Sorry for the lack of posts last week, but it’s that time of year again. The LRT is crowded, the coffee shops are packed, and stress is all around. That’s right, it’s back to school time. While most of us have started classes, I wanted to touch on the one thing everyone should bring with them for the new school year. Confidence. More importantly, self-confidence.
While this may not seem important, self-confidence can shape your experience at school. In order to make new friends, do well in school, or join clubs you need to be confident in yourself and your abilities. Everyone should take a moment and tell themselves “I am an amazing person and I can do whatever I set my mind to”. When I first started University I didn’t have much self confidence in myself, and that showed in my day-to-day life and in my grades. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and be proud of your accomplishments.
Without sounding too cliché: Reach for the stars, summit that mountain, or get that A. The only thing that is holding you back is yourself. Hope you are all enjoying your classes, and you can expect a little extra post this week as a special treat!
